Toxic Foods Your Dogs Should Avoid

The stuff you leave laying around your house could be lethal to the dogs that come around looking for a bite to eat. You might not realize it, but dogs will eat just about anything you leave lying around on the floor or outside. It might not make you think twice, but you need to be careful for the sake of your dog.

Chicken bones are another situation that can be deadly if a dog gets ahold of them. Normal bones, like those from cows or pigs, are alright for a dog to chew on. But poultry bones in general are a little bit different. These bones are mostly hollow and can shatter in a dog’s mouth leaving protruding points that can become trapped on a dog’s insides.

Dogs do eat a lot of different things that a human being wouldn’t touch. That doesn’t mean that your dog is a mobile trash can. You need to keep your detritus up and out of your dog’s way. And make sure you keep your own food out of the dog’s way as well.

Your number one priority for your pet should be looking after him or her and keeping them safe. Paying attention to the foods listed above will be a great start toward ensuring your pet’s safety. Keep the trash free and clear of any potential interaction and you’ll be in much better shape.
