On the other hand, if you are a long term suburb or city resident, moving out into the country can take an awful lot of getting used to. Everything isn’t on your doorstep as it was before, and if you realize you need something in the evening; chances are there will be nowhere open in the vicinity.
If you are seriously thinking of giving up city living a and moving out to a smallholding to lead a real country lifestyle there is a lot to consider. You will still need to visit large supermarkets to get your groceries in bulk and make sure you get everything you will need for at least a week as this will be a long trip that you don’t want to do 3-4 times a week.
Stocking up on non perishable goods is always a good idea so you are prepared for any emergencies. These are things like medicines, toilet paper, canned and frozen goods and personal toiletry items.
Living in the country can be a real joy, as long as you are organized and have plenty of provisions and essentials.
