The Honeymoon-No Ordinary Trip, Pack with Style

Let’s face it gentlemen; this is no ordinary trip. If for some reason you are thinking about heading out for your honeymoon like you would any other trip, you need to check yourself now. Throwing a couple of shirts and jeans into a bag is simply not going to work for your honeymoon. Today there is a lot of advice floating around as to what brides should bring on their honeymoon, but guys have been overlooked. Sure your bride knows that she needs to bring along some sexy lingerie and a few eye-catching dresses, but what about us guys?

While this list may not be exhaustive, it does give you a great starting point. By using this list you will have a nice collection of essentials that every groom should pack.

Don’t Rush: Whatever you do, skip the rushing. There are few things more unpleasant than a last second packing frenzy, quickly followed up by a mad dash to the unfriendly arms of a congested and grumpy airport. Why do that to yourself and your bride? Bypass this unpleasant experience by considering what it is that you will need on your trip at least of month ahead of time. If you will be hiking, for example, make sure you have all the gear you need. The main point is to think about your trip and make sure you pack according. Also strongly consider packing your bag around a week ahead of time.

Women Love Gentlemen: Somewhere in your suitcase should be at least a couple of nice outfits that will make you look presentable. Since this is your honeymoon, a fancy dinner or two and maybe a show are likely bets. This means that you will need a couple of outfits that make you look more like a man and less like a savage.

Beware the Crease: Creases can make any man look like a slob. Keep the crease in mind when you are packing. Try and pack clothing that will not crease easily. Consider having a couple of your outfits dry cleaned before your trip. A dry-cleaned outfit stands a better chance of arriving relatively wrinkle free!

Turn on the Sexy: You have the rest of your life to be boring in bed. This is your honeymoon and you need to turn it up a notch. Make sure you pack some sexy sleepwear of your own. Your honeymoon is a great opportunity to bring out of sexy boxers or briefs that your bride has not seen before.

Skip the Pharmacy Trip: Think through and plan all of your potential pharmacy needs, or to phrase it another way, make sure you have plenty of condoms and lubricants. Why not be prepared? Just imagine what a pain it could be to spend an hour or two searching for condoms in a strange city or even worse, a strange country.

Always Have a Back-Up Plan: An experienced traveler will tell you that all sorts of things can go wrong. In order to help safeguard you and your trip from disaster, think through what you pack in your carry on bag. If your suitcases get lost, a well-packed carry on can help you make it until you can replace your clothes or vital toiletries.

Use Your Hotel: Think through what your hotel has available for free. Any respectable hotel will have soap, shampoo and the like. This, of course, means that you don’t have to pack every single toiletry item that you might need.
