If you are looking for some of the best areas to shop in all of New York City, then you have come to the right place. This article will discuss some of the most popular areas, as well as some that have yet to be exploited by tourists, but still have some great deals.
Here are some of the best areas to check out while shopping in New York.
The Lower East Side has become somewhat of a mini shopping district. The leather retailers have been there forever, but new boutique stores have been popping up left and right. Some of the best ones include Reformation and First Amongst Equals.
The undisputed king (or queen) of New York City shopping can be found in SoHo. Located South of Houston St (hence the name), SoHo is a shopping mecca. Any high-end brand has a store in SoHo. It’s no coincidence the girls down here are incredibly fashionable.
Another fun area to check out for shopping is the East Village. Some of the best stores to check out around this part of town include Urban Outfitters, Odin and Pinky Otto.
Of course, an extremely popular area to shop is 5th Avenue and the Upper East Side in general. Be careful though, because everything uptown just ends up costing more money. Bloomingdale’s on 57th has sales a few times a year, so go while your favorite brands are sold on sale.
NoLiTa, or the area North Of Little Italy, has also recently become a hotspot for boutique shops. There is a custom Nike store that will make clothes to your fitting, as well as an incredible store called Groupe Seize Sur Vingt, which is a great place to find any sort of button down.
These are some of the areas that I have been going to recently, and if you happen to find yourself in Manhattan, then you can go here too!
The author additionally frequently gives advice about topics like finding a DVD video and the portable keyboard.
