Points To Start Off Cleaning Up Your Car

Driving your car on a long journey can be quite a pleasurable experience but making sure that your car is clean for the journey will make it even more pleasurable. Before you begin your driving days it is better to take a little time out to make sure that you clean your car’s exterior and that you also get to organize the interior.

There is no better place to start the cleaning than from the inside because this is actually where you will be during the whole journey. Take out all the trash like food wrappers and unnecessary documents that have been accumulating in there for ages.

You will have to make it a priority to go through the glove compartment as well as this is one of the places in the car notorious for the build-up of useless clutter.

To clean the dashboard, get a dry cloth and wipe away all the dust. You can use a dust removing spray for this and on the steering wheel as well as long as you make sure to wipe it all off. If you cannot afford some window cleaner, you can mix warm water with some vinegar and use it for cleaning the interior of your windows and windshields. Use a dry cloth to wipe it all off in a circular pattern that will leave no marks behind.

Make Sunday morning an occasion for washing your car the old fashioned way; hands on. Use the bucket and sponge method as you will soon come to realize that it is very satisfying.

You can even get the kids to jump in on it so that you can have time to do something together. The money you are saving from trips to the car wash can be their reward lunch treat if you please.

Do the wheels and last but not least, hose the whole car down.
