Looking for a domestic destination for a mini trip later this year? If you’re anything like me, you’re probably having trouble narrowing it down to one place to visit. There are so many possibilities, and there’s never nearly enough time (or money) to get to everywhere we’d like to go.
Anyway, I’ve been fortunate to see most of this great country, and I’d like to share a few worthy destinations that might pique your interest. Try visiting one of these cities if you’re looking for ideas.
First on the list is Nashville. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit the city quite a few times over the course of the last few years. I’ve had a friend living there, and she’s shown me a great time every time I’ve visited.
Between the strong country music scene (also known as Nash Vegas), the many restaurants, and the great scenery, there’s really a lot to like about Nashville. I continue to find new things to love about the city with each of my trips there.
If you’re looking to make a visit to a Northeast city, consider going to Providence or Newport, Rhode Island. The smallest state in the country has more than one might expect, and it’s definitely worth a visit if you can make the trip.
Providence is a beautiful small city with some great culture and a lot of history. As far as Newport goes, it’s about a half hour away and the beaches and restaurants there are phenomenal. I’d only recommend going there in the summer, as it’s more of a beach resort town.
If you’d rather go South for some really warm weather, you can always visit New Orleans. Bourbon Street is one of the most interesting streets in the country, and the French Quarter is great. The city has built itself back up after Hurricane Katrina, and deserves a visit.
Hopefully this helps you if you’re in need of ideas. Have some safe travels, and enjoy.
