Disneyland is a popular tourist attraction and one that opens every day. A visit can therefore be made at any time of the year, although some times are better than others. Consider avoiding busy times such as school and college holidays and long weekends, which can see large crowds visiting. It is preferable to visit at other times when the weather may be better and smaller crowds are in the park. This can make your day more enjoyable.

Visiting Disney Land during off-season periods can have big advantages. The cost of a hotel is generally slightly less during these times although it pays to check if there are any special events organized for when you plan to go. The hotels costs can rise at these times without any warning as crowds arrive to view the event. For the most part the recommended times to visit are early September just after Labor Day through to just before Christmas, although Thanksgiving time can be busy. The other time to plan a visit is in early March just before the college spring break.

The really busy times to try and avoid visitng the resort if you can is Spring Break in March. This time generally has the biggest crowds of the year and the large crowds and long queues can make a visit difficult, especially for children. Summer and Christmas holidays also see many tourists arriving to visit Disney Land and these times are busy also.

Plan your trip to try and avoid the heat and humidity of the summer holidays. Also try and avoid the Christmas holidays when the traffic and large crowds can make for a less pleasant experience. There is also a small insect called ‘love bug’ which can make a visit very annoying during May and September when there are large numbers of these. If you take these things into consideration the off-season definitely provides the best opportunity for a visit.

Florida has weather which can be unpredictable at times and rain can happen at any time when you visit. This is not a problem as there are many indoor activities that can be enjoyed if the weather is not good. These include Epcot and also Universal Studios and these can be visited during bad weather as the outdoor rides will generally be closed down during bad storms.

Florida can experience hurricanes during the hurricane season from June to November and some people will avoid visiting during this time. Whatever time you choose to visit try to arrive as early as possible as the queues get longer later in the day. Also get a layout map as this can be of great assistance in getting around the park and help to make your day a fantastic Disney adventure.
