Today, with operations around the world, especially in the Middle East, there is a continuing and growing need for workers to service this requirement. As these contractors fulfil there duties Army personnel are able to complete the tasks and obligations that they are equipped and trained to to with strong competency.

Talking about the Weather
It gets hot in Afghanistan and it gets cold in Afghanistan. Imagine a dry, hot Arizona summer and a cold, blustery Colorado winter. January, 2007 had freezing conditions for every single night of that month. You will be accommodated in tents so you will feel the temperature. Portable heaters are not allowed so you will be left to your own ingenuity to stay warm and somewhat comfortable.
Defense jobs pay so well due to the hardships they ask of their employees. You will be sharing a tent with perhaps as many as 140 other people. The 110 degree weather will have you developing new methods of ventilation for yourself. Also you will see things you never would believe unless through experience, for instance large camel spiders, poisonous snakes and an assortment of other indigenous lifeforms you’ve likely never heard of.
Working Conditions and Challenges
The contractors say these army jobs are “tough” with “conditions as demanding as any you will ever find.” Your job will be in a hostile environment or even an active war zone. Other than in tents you may experience life in a B-hut which would give you a generous 7 x 9 feet of personal, semi-private space to enjoy.
You’ll experience long hours and hard work. This is nothing like the normal nine to five of back home. There’s good money to be made but it won’t be easy. You’ll work very hard under difficult conditions for your wages and benefits. Also you will need to develop a thick skin and tough mindset to survive with the aggressive types that are typically found in these organizations.
If you think you can cut it, want a means to some personal and financial goals then take some time and look into the opportunities of military jobs at LOGCAP!
