Airline Prices Could be Lower in 2009
Southwest Airline has recently anounced their new schedule and prices for early next year and the prices have dropped! This is great news for all of us because it may pressure other airlines to drop their price in an attempt to compete.
The Dallas based carrier published the schedule and pricing from January 9 to March 6 of 2009 which is significantly lower than rival prices. This already forced other airlines to cut back their previously announced prices for the same routes for the same time period.
The general rule of thumb in the old days of booking fares early to save money doesn’t seem to hold true anymore!

While it would be nice, I just can’t see it happening unless gas prices go down and the economy is fixed overnight.
