A Food Lover’s Guide Of Eating Establishments To Try In New York City

New York City has too many restaurants to get through. I spend way too much money on eating out at dinners, but I have only made a dent in the New York City restaurant list. Here are the meals I have not had that I would like to try the most.

Marea is chef Michael White’s newest restaurant, located right along central park. It is Italian cuisine with a focus on seafood. This bone marrow and octopus fussilli has gotten rave reviews.

Daniel – Chef Daniel Boulud’s masterpiece was recently named the #8 restaurant in the world on the San Pellegrino Worlds Best Restaurant list. Daniel supposedly serves the best French food in all of New York, and I cannot wait for an excuse to try it.

Totto Ramen recently opened in Midtown West to enormous buzz. It is already reporting 30 minute plus waits. After conquering the East Village ramen spots, such as Minca and Ippudo, I am ready to see what other areas of the city have to offer when it comes to these Japanese noodles.

WD-50 – Wylie Dufrenes is well known as the creator of the molecular gastronomy eating revolution. If you do not know what molecular gastronomy is, then you must google “wd 50″ and check out some of the images that come up.

When it comes to sushi in New York, there are endless options of places to go. But what about if you want a specific type of fish, namely sea urchin? Soto, in the West Village is known not as a sushi restaurant, but as a sea urchin, or Uni, restaurant. Seeing as this is my favorite type of fish, I cannot wait to try it.

Lucali – What? A slice of pizza you say? Lucali is supposed to be one of the best slices in the city, and involves trekking to Brooklyn and waiting on a long line. One of these days I will make the trek.

On the cheaper side of things, a true Panini restaurant called Salume has recently opened in Soho that supposedly will teach Americans a thing or two about what an Italian Panini really is.

Aside from food, this writer also frequently pens articles regarding designer sofas and recliner sofas.
